Achillion Palace

Achillion Palace (museum) was the residence of the Empress Elizabeth of Austria. The palace has a small conference room available for meetings and is an amazing building with excellent views.

New Fortress

The important interventions which the Municipality of Corfu have undertaken in the last years to preserve and to restore the New Fortress are continuing, with the aim to promote this important monument and integrate it in the town's cultural life. These works are financed by own monetary resources, while the number of visitors from the first day the Fortress reopened its gates to the public (in 1994) shows that efforts must continue unabated.

Corfu municipality has taken many actions of a cultural character in the New Fortress, so as to transform it into a cultural centre of attraction for the greater town area. For this the following spaces were created:

a. An open space for open-air events with exceptional acoustics and the capacity of hosting up to 500 delegates. In this space various high level cultural events have taken place.

b. Interior spaces for painting and photography exhibitions and other events.

c. A children's playground

Old Fortress

The Old fortress provides indoor and outdoor space for events up to 500 delegates.The hall is situated under the bridge (entrance to the fortress) and is equipped with all modern technical facilities.It has been converted into a press room during the European Summit in 1994.
