PAYMENT
25% deposit is required upon confirmation. Balance of payment is due no
less than 30 days prior to day of embarkation via Bank swift.
CHILD REDUCTION
Infants under the age of 2 free of charge. Children aged 2 to 6 years
sharing cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount. Children
between the ages of 7-12 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a
25% discount. Port taxes are not discounted.
CANCELLATIONS
25% of the cruise for any written cancellation received between 60 to 31
days prior to sailing; 50% up to 16 days prior to sailing: full cruise
fare for written cancellations received less than the 16th day prior to
sailing or for “no shows.” even if cancellation is due to unforeseen
circumstances beyond passenger’s control.
NOT INCLUDED IN CRUISE FARE
Such personal expenses as alcoholic drinks, laundry and gratuities,
(gratuities are optional but as a rule, satisfied clients are expected to
give to the captain, at the end of the cruise approximately 5% of the
cruise fare for distribution among crew members) medical expenses, port
taxes, shore excursions (shore excursions are proposed and arranged on
board by the tour leaders) expenditures incurred ashore, and anything not
mentioned in the cruise program.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL ZEUS-GROUP CRUISES:
Because no lifeguard is provided swimming off the vessels is at the
passengers own risk.
Although cruise itinerary is almost always followed as indicated, on
occasion due to unforeseen circumstances, such as exceptionally bad
weather, (vessels are not permitted to sail when wind force is 6 – 7
Beaufort) the captain upon whom full responsibility is placed for the
safety and comfort of the passengers, may make any required changes, at
his discretion. Times of arrival and departure at the various ports of
call are given as a guide and we cannot guarantee that they will be
strictly adhered to. Omitting a port of call or making required changes in
itinerary does not entitle passengers to any claims or refunds. Every step
has been taken to insure that the sports facilities on board are in good
working order and their failure does not constitute reason for refunds and
or additional claims.
The Company reserves the right to cancel any cruise, in which case the
full fare, will be refunded. If necessary, itinerary may be changed and
vessel substituted before or after commencement of cruise. Fares are
established in accordance with the exchange rate and fuel prices at the
time of printing and they are subject to change without notice.
After
commencement of cruise, should the vessel sustain any breakdown in
machinery or be disabled by fire, grounding or collision for more than 48
hours disrupting the cruise itinerary and if no acceptable alternate
arrangement or substitute vessel of similar quality is offered, then
passenger will be given a proportional refund per diem of paid cruise
fare. No further claims will be accepted.
It is further recognized that Zeus tours & yacht cruises ltd. acting, as a
broker between the owner companies of the vessels and the passengers/tour
operators is a Greek company, the vessels are of Greek registry under the
jurisdiction of Greek law. Disputes relating to this agreement will be
resolved solely according to Greek law in Greek courts. Passengers are
advised to purchase a “trip cancellation” policy in case of any unexpected
contingencies. Passengers are covered by insurance while cruising. In case
of accident or death the maximum liability amount of 145,000 Euro applies.
As this amount is the maximum liability of the owners of vessels
passengers/tour operators are advised to purchase an individual accident
insurance policy as well. Above conditions shall constitute the sole
contract between “Zeus tours & yacht cruises ltd.” acting on behalf of the
owner of vessels and passengers/tour operators unless otherwise agreed in
writing. Zeus tours & yacht cruises reserves the right to replace the
vessel on a particular cruise date with similar providing same
accommodation standards and services.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE THE CRUISE
EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION
Passengers are requested to be on board 2 hours prior to departure.
Disembarkation is after breakfast at approximately 9am.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Participants must be in possession of a valid passport (expiring not
earlier than one month after cruise ends) and should obtain visas and
health certificates where required. All requirements should be confirmed
with appropriate government consulate or information office prior to
departure.
LUGGAGE AND CLOTHING
Please travel as lightly as possible so as not to restrict space
in your cabin. Soft bags are more practical than hard suitcases. Sports or
casual clothes are more useful. Plenty of swimwear is required and a
pullover or cardigan is recommended for cool evenings. Comfortable walking
shoes are suggested when ashore; a beach towel is also required for
swimming. It is not necessary to bring such items as cutlery, cups,
plates, glasses, etc., as vessels are fully equipped.
ELECTRIC CURRENT
Our ship generators provide an electric current of 220 v. Cabins
are equipped with European type plugs so please remember to bring an
adaptor if necessary
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Due to safety reasons it is requested that physical disabilities
of any kind be advised at time of reservation. It is understood that
passengers requiring special attention or treatment will be travelling
with their personal escorts. The company retains the right to refuse to
embark any pregnant woman beyond the 6th month of pregnancy
SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Every attempt to meet special dietary requirements will be made
provided that such a request is put in writing at least 4 weeks prior to
sailing.
HONEYMOONERS
If company is informed in due time honeymooners will receive complimentary
wine & fruit. A special celebration may also be arranged upon request.
DAILY PROGRAM
Each day’s schedule will be posted by our cruise coordinator
listing necessary information such as arrival/departure times, meal times,
days activities and any other pertinent information. It its understood
that the daily program will be given as a guideline and that it is subject
to change due to unforeseen circumstances
VALUABLES
Jewellery, money, documents etc., should be given to the captain
who will deposit items in the ship’s safe boxes free of charge. The
company and its personnel bear no
responsibility for valuables kept by passengers.
PERSONAL EXPENSES & FUNDS
The EURO is the official currency on board. There is an optional
credit system for expenses on board that may be paid/settled at the end of
the cruise. Most major currencies and traveler's cheques are accepted /
exchanged at their official
exchange rate. No credit cards are accepted on board Casual & Galileo
cruises).
COMPLAINTS
Should any problems arise on board please report them first to
your tour coordinator and the Captain. Crewmembers will do their utmost to
rectify the situation. The company cannot accept any complaints that were
not reported on board. Complaints that are received by the company 3 weeks
after the end of cruise are also not acknowledged.
