The
Gouvia Marina, one of the largest and most attractive in Greece, draws
hundreds of yachts from all over the Mediterranean. Today it provides
facilities for over 500 yachts, offering full technical services (65-ton
travelift, 45 and 14-ton cranes), electricity, water and medical help. Port
and customs authorities are available, and you can find a restaurant, bar,
shop, swimming pool, baths, toilet and whatever else you require.

Vessels with
no permanent crew - Bare boats. Those
yachtsmen who desire to roam the Greek seas may, at a small cost, charter such
a boat, provided two of them have an official yachting diploma.
Manned vessels:
In case that the
persons chartering vessel do not meet the requirements to sail a vessel, they
must obtain the services of trained personnel. Usually there is a Cordon Bleu
Chef (trained in Greek and International cuisine) together with experienced
yachting professionals, eager to make your sailing holidays an unforgettable
experience.
The
Cost of Chartering
It depends on the size of the yacht, the
accommodations, the degree of comfort and service required. The
base price includes all yacht running costs, wages and provisioning for the
crew. The daily price does not include the cost of food, drinks, refreshments,
cleaning and any other demand made by the charterer. The charter price only
includes the chartering of the boat and insurance. To start with, a deposit
will be required against any eventual loss of equipment or damage, which is
refunded immediately if the yacht is returned in its initial condition. The
skipper (if required) wages are not included. Charterers of bare boats usually
buy their own food and drink, but on request, we can arrange for supplies at
local prices to be placed on board in readiness before the departure of the
vessel. Note: For a group of 4 to 8 people, yachting will prove less
expensive than staying at a hotel, and the schedule is definitely more
flexible. As a guideline the cost per person per day is between € 29,34 and €
44,02.
Booking
Bookings are generally made in advance, but it
is possible to rent a yacht last minute (except high season), assuming you
have a certificate of experience. A deposit of 25% of the total price is
required.
Cancellation
If, for whatever reason, you
cancel the booking, the initial deposit is withheld. However, in case that we
are able to charter the vessel under the same terms and for the same dates, it
is customary that we will return the deposit, although we are not required by
law to do so. By mutual agreement, you can have the boat later in the same
season, or in the next, whenever it becomes available.
Insurance
The charter party must include full insurance
cover for the vessel, the crew and any accidents caused directly
by the negligence of the master or the crew or by defects in the vessel.
Charterers must arrange their own insurance coverage against illness or
accidents arising out of their own negligence or misfortune.
